This photo of my friend kayaking on Lost Lake was taken from the north side of Lost Lake, looking southeast across the lake towards Mount Hood. To access this spot, park in the Lost Lake North Viewpoint parking lot by the Lakeshore Trailhead (45.495847, -121.822408). From the parking area, walk southwest along Lakeshore Trail #656. While you're on Lakeshore Trail #656, reference the GPS coordinates to guide you from the trail to water (by turning left) where I stood to get this shot. Driving directions: - From OR-281 S (Dee Highway) - Take OR-281 S (Dee Highway) to the Lost Lake Rd exit, and turn left onto Lost Lake Rd - Stay on Lost Lake Rd/NF-13 for about 13 miles - Slight right onto N F Dev Rd 1340 - Turn right onto North Rd - Pass the Lost Lake Resort and turn left to stay on North Rd - The road will dead end at the Lost Lake North Viewpoint/Lakeshore Trailhead parking lot
