Ecola State Park is one of the most treasured locations along the Oregon coast. From beautiful rugged coastlines, to sparsely populated beaches, tide pools teeming with sea creatures, and even a roaming herd of Roosevelt elk, this park really encapsulates all of the experiences you'll want to have on your visit to the ocean. One deep breathe of that salty Pacific breeze and you'll never want to leave!

This image was taken from the Ecola Point Picnic Area, which has access to multiple beach trails including Crescent Beach and Indian Beach (take note that there's a much shorter trail to Indian Beach that's north of this lot off of Ecola Park Rd).
Reaching the park is very straightforward because it's located directly off of Highway 101. Simply search for Ecola State Park and any navigation app will seamlessly guide you here. I've found cell phone service to be pretty strong on the coast too, so there's no need to worry about that.
The point where I stood for this shot will be pretty obvious once you've reached the Ecola Point Picnic Area parking lot, but if you're having any issues finding it, reference the GPS. There's a couple of footpaths leading toward the ocean that open up to magnificent views of Crescent Beach, Bird Rocks, and Haystack Rock in the distance.
