One of the pearls of Oregon's west coast, Cannon Beach is where the 80s classic movie The Goonies was filmed. Before you head to the beach, grab your telephoto lens to capture some great close-up views.

This photo was taken from the north side of Cannon Beach, also known as Chapman's Point. You'll find elevated and hilly vantage points from here, which gives you a perfect vantage point of this vast landscape. You'll want to drive to this area. If you're coming from Ecola State Park, the Ecola State Park Road will lead you close to the location point. Otherwise, you can navigate here via Highway 101. Look for parking spots on Oak Street. Walk down the Chapman Beach access point and navigate to the GPS coordinates from there.
