Mount Fuji, Lake Kawaguchi & Cherry Blossoms

This image of Mount Fuji and the cherry blossoms was taken on the north side of Kawaguchi Lake in Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi. The best way to get to this location is to drive and then park in the nearby lot, Momijikairo Dai 1 Parking Lot (35.527622, 138.766335). It takes around 45 minutes to drive there from Kōfu, the capital of Yamanashi. You can get there by taking National Route 137. Taking the route in the direction of Fujikawaguchiko Town Kawaguchi will lead you to Kohoku View Line Road. The parking lot is located on the left of this road. From the lot, walk south toward the lake on Prefectural Road 21. You will see Mount Fuji as you get closer. Reference the GPS coordinates, which will be on your right, to get this perspective of Mount Fuji through the cherry blossoms.
