This alpine lake, with a mystical atmosphere, is always a special place to visit. You'll need to hike to get here, but the ascent offers ever-changing scenery that makes the journey to the 3,000-high summit one of the best hikes in the alps.

This image was taken at the south end of Rinnensee lake, which is in The Stubai Alps.
First, begin your journey at Oberissalm. Park in the open lot called Parkplatz Oberiss (47.094322, 11.194241) and then follow the trail that leads uphill toward the bottom of the valley.
Continue hiking along the trail and then make your way to Franz-Senn-Hütte (47.084949, 11.168422). When you get to this famous hut, head southwest while referencing the GPS coordinates and you'll be able to get to the lake. Along the trail, there will also be signs that will guide you to Rinnensee.
