For people living in Innsbruck, this is a classic sunrise hike! The views from the top of the summit are fabulous and you'll be looking over Inn Valley, Wipptal Valley and Stubaital Valley. To the northeast, you'll also have a great view of Innsbruck toward the Nordkette. Even more impressive in the opposite direction is the rugged peaks of the Kalkkoegel mountains, which resemble the Italian Dolomites.

This image was taken from the Nockspitze view over Inn Valley, just below the summit toward Innsbruck city.
The hike onto the Nockspitze mountain starts in the car park of the Axamer Lizum ski resort (47.196216, 11.301898). From Innsbruck city, it'll be about a 30-minute car ride to Axamer Lizum.
The hike itself takes around 1.5-2.5 hours (depending on your fitness level) and climbs roughly 1,000 vertical meters. From the parking lot in Axamer Lizum, keep left and start hiking toward Birgitzkopflhaus. Follow the trail up (it'll be well-marked) to the summit of Nockspitze, which is also known as Saile. Once you're there, reference the GPS coordinates and you'll be able to see the multiple cross-shaped structures around you.
