Madison Falls & Madison Creek

avatar
@michaelmatti
Just a short 5-minute walk down a paved path takes you to this small, yet impressive, waterfall. Stand here for a moment and enjoy the fresh air as you watch the water come rushing over the cliff.

This photo was taken from the end of the Madison Falls trail on the Olympic Peninsula. To get to Madison Falls, turn south on Olympic Hot Springs Road, off HWY 101. This junction is right at the Elwha River Bridge. Once you turn on Olympic Hot Springs Road, continue for 2.1 miles to the Madison Falls trailhead. The road is gated just past the parking area here so you really can't miss or drive past it. Once parked, follow the paved path for maybe 2 minutes and you'll be at the waterfall. Reference the GPS and you'll find where I stood to get this perspective.
