This photo was taken on the trail between Lake Crescent Lodge and Marymere Falls, which is next to Barnes Creek.
Marymere Falls is a popular hike on the Olympic Peninsula and can be reached from two different trailheads: Storm King Ranger Station or Lake Crescent Lodge. To get to this specific spot, you'll need to start at the Lake Crescent Lodge trailhead. Park at either of the parking lots at Lake Crescent Lodge (48.056936, -123.799314 or 48.056731, -123.800208) and look for the big open field (you should have seen it on the drive in).
As you face the field, walk along the path on the left side of the field, cross the road and then continue down the path into the forest. Follow the signs for Marymere Falls. This particular section of trees (which are my favorite on the hike to Marymere Falls) is about halfway between entering the forest and the point where you go under the road on the trail. Reference the GPS coordinates and you'll find this viewpoint.
