This photo of Mount St. Helens was taken from McClellan Overlook, an observation site just off Curly Creek Road in Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
This viewpoint can be reached from either NF-90 from the north or Meadow Creek Road from the south. To get here from the north, head south on NF-90 for 3 miles until you reach Curly Creek Road. Turn left and continue until McClellan Overlook.
From the south, head north on Wind River Highway until you reach Meadow Creek Road (NF-30). Turn right on Meadow Creek Road and head north until you reach Curly Creek Road. Turn left and continue until you reach McClellan Overlook. From Meadow Creek Road, it's exactly 2.1 miles to the observation point.
Once parked at McClellan Overlook (46.040127, -121.919142), walk to the overlook area and point your camera northwest towards Mount St Helens.
