The Tube at Orchard Gateway

This location is called “The Tube” and is a link bridge on Level 3 of Orchard Gateway shopping mall connecting to Orchard Gateway@Emerald. From within Orchard Gateway, you can find the link bridge on Level 3 between the Nike and J.WIB stores. The Tube is great to photograph any month of the year.

You’re more likely to find less people on the link bridge during the morning or mid-day during the week. Also, during these times the transparent bridge will be very well lit. At night the bridge’s lights will impact the exposure.

The wider your lens, the more details and symmetry you’ll be able to capture of this other worldly link bridge.

Be patient and get creative with how you incorporate people passing through the link bridge.

To maximize a reflection shot, find the symmetrical midpoint of the space by standing in the middle and placing your camera directly on the floor. The closer your camera is to the floor, the more symmetrical your composition will be!
