Marina Square Spiral Staircase Look Down

This location is at the top of a one-level spiral staircase along the right side of Marina Square Shopping Mall. The best way to get there is to enter the Mandarin Oriental hotel’s main entrance (drop off point) and look to your left. You should see the spiral staircase. Walk up one-level and look down – that’s where I took the shot! All months of the year are suitable to photograph the spiral staircase.

By visiting in the late-afternoon you will avoid the very harsh light (and heat)!

To frame the entirety of the staircase in this Look Down shot you’ll have to really stretch your arm out! Make sure not to drop your camera.

Get creative with your composition! I split my composition 50/50 by using a model’s pointed finger neatly along line of the grass patch and pavement.

Try placing your model on the grass patch at the bottom of the staircase or on the staircase itself.
