Built in the 15th century, but not abandoned until the 1700s, Kilchurn Castle was once home to Clan Campbell. Today, the structure has crumbled into a decay of stone that's resulted from the many years of neglect — although even in its ruin, the castle is a magnificent display of architecture.

If you have a car, park in the Kilchurn Castle Car Park (56.407285, -5.017654) and then head southwest for this west-facing perspective of the structure.
By ScotRail:
- Closest station: Dalmally (via ScotRail Line)
- Turn left on A85
- Head west once you've reached the parking lot
