For the most ideal weather, avoid the summer months. That said, you can capture a photo in similar conditions all times of the year
Visit during dayling. This area will likely be in the shade if you visit in the afternoon, but with the right perspective and experimentation, you'll capture great light bouncing off the back side of the concrete strips.
Field tips
Be sure to avoid photographing any locals who may be walking around you.
To achieve this higher angle, we used a 33ft monopod pole at about 15ft high. You'll also want to use a wide-angle lens (15mm) so you can maximize the capture of the concrete weaves.
Try centering your subject to give the composition a focal point. Also, look at the surrounding architecture and think about way to incorporate them into your background.
To more easily capture the verticle lines, make sure your camera is perpendicular to the ground.
