On the Gold Line, get off at the stop "Souq Waqif". Once you're in the area, reference the GPS coordinates to get to this particular part of the square.

If you want to photograph people, it's best to ask their permission before doing so.

The Souq Waqif market is a really good place for street photography, so bring out that 35 or 50mm focal lens and start firing away! These focal lengths help you shoot true to scale.

Souq Waqif is in Doha, just south of the Pearl Monument. From the main entrance, there are many alleys and streets full of vendors. This place is a giant traditional open-air market, so bring comfortable shoes to walk around in and bring your appetite, too, because there's a lot of good food in the area.
