This image of the shattered glass floor exhibit was taken inside the Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, which is accessible by car, bus and tram. Once you enter the museum, ask for directions to the Shattered Glass Floor exhibit. According to their website: "If you're arriving by car, visitors must enter through Gate 14 (near Qatar Academy Sidra Primary School). There will be limited parking spaces that are available at the museum. The Mathaf bus offers free shuttle service between Mathaf and the Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar National Library, and Fire Station: Artist in Residence. Public tram service is also available to Mathaf. The Mathaf stop on the Education City tram line is an approximate three minute walk from the Mathaf entrance." Tips

When to go

Best season

All months

Best time

Morning, Mid-day, Late afternoon, Sunset, Night
You can photograph the shattered glass floor exhibit at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art during any month of the year since it's indoors.
Visit the museum during its opening hours to take your photos. It tends to be less busy near its opening and closing times.

Field tips

Respect the space and keep your distance from the artwork.
Bring a camera and lens that captures light easily, as it can be dark inside the museum. You might be told to put it away, but you can also bring a tripod if it's too dark.
If any of the museum staff says you can't take photos, have a mobile phone camera as back-up.
I personally like when you have a silhouette in your frame at this location. I was alone when I shot, but I think it's worth the wait to see if someone will walk through the frame.
Aim to have the door in the middle of your photo. It'll create a focal point, as well as a sense of symmetry.
