Katara Towers serves as a symbolic representation of Qatar's national seal with an ode to the traditional scimitar swords. This incredible new structure is one of the country's most jaw-dropping displays of architecture, too.

This image of the Katara Towers was taken on the dock of the Lusail Fountain. The easiest ways to get to this spot is to take the tram to Marina Promenade (via Orange Line) or drive.
Once you reach the Lusail Fountain, reference the GPS coordinates in satellite mode to see where I stood for this north-facing view of the towers.

For soft light, you'll want to photograph this landmark during morning or late-afternoon light.
Field tips
It's important to bring a wide-angle lens (35mm or wider) to this location. If your lens is too narrow, you won't be able to capture all of the towers, which will prevent you from highlighting the architecture.
Bring a friend with you to stand in the photo as a model. Since the crescent tower is so big, having a model in the photo will help to bring a sense of scale to the frame.
Align yourself with the center of the tower so that when you take the photo, it appears even and proportional.
