You can get to the hotel by driving, taking public transportation or calling a ride share service. If you're taking public transportation, you'll take the Red Line and get off at the DECC stop. From there, head north toward the hotel.
The helipad is completely private (even to guests of the hotel), so in order to access this location, you must contact the hotel before you plan on visiting. Additionally, you can reach out to them via Instagram to schedule a time to take photos on the helipad.

Field tips
Because of the low light conditions from sunset, I think it's best to bring
a tripod or a low aperture lens.
A model's silhouette will create a beautiful, engaging focal point that'll also provide a sense of scale to the scene. Make sure they're standing in the middle of the frame so the photo is well balanced, too.
Follow the rule of thirds here as best as you can. Have the helipad in the bottom third, model and skyline in the middle, and sunset sky in the top third.
