Dome at Porto Arabia 6

This image was taken at the dome of Porto Arabia 6. You can get there by taxies such as Uber, Karwa or Careem or by car. Route to the the name of the location (Porto Arabia 5) as a reference point or set these GPS coordinates (25.3692766, 51.5392430) on your navigation system. Once you reach Porto Arabia 5, make your way towards the marina, then turn left. Almost instantaneously, you will be able to see something that resembles a church bell tower, just without the bell itself. Keep moving towards its direction. You will see the stairs ahead of you. Make your way upstairs, and you will find the exact spot where I took this photo. 

You can capture a similar photo of the dome at Porto Arabia 6 all months of the year, as seasonally the environment doesn’t change.

Light is crucial for this location. The best time to visit and achieve the desired effect would be in the morning when the light is directly facing the arch, beaming a beautiful light inside of the dome.

Since this is such a small place, a wide angle lends will allow you frame everything in its entirety, including the long shadows.

Consider positioning your model in an illuminated space, not one that’s shadowed. Pay attention to

the model’s shadow, too—ideally that’s in the bright space

as well.

Bring a bit of sand and toss it to create a dust beam—very representative for a place like Qatar!
