Box Park

Box Park is located at Old Doha Port. The easiest way to get there is by car or taxi—simply route to the location on your preferred map app. When you arrive, walk between the colored boxes to find your preferred composition.

Box Park can be photographed any month of year—but it's best to avoid the summer months when it's very hot :)

When the sun is harshest, at mid-day, it really brings out the colors of the boxes. That said, visiting at sunset would also be beautiful, as you can enjoy great views from Doha here as well. Plus, you will probably be hungry after the shooting time :)

Box Park is a colorful haven. Explore the area, trying different combinations and perspectives.

Try incorporating a model. You can bring vibrancy to your portraiture by using the colorful boxes as a backdrop. Catch a ray of light on their face! Boom!

You can also try to frame the boxes with the Doha skyline—a great contrast. Or, lay on the ground and wait for a plane to pass by, framed by the colorful boxes.

There's so much to discover in this area: the Qatar National Museum, the Souq Waqif or the Museum of Islamic Art. You can't go wrong!
