This giant teapot sculpture provides a larger-than-life subject against the backdrop of towering Doha skyscrapers. Located in a peaceful park near the water, you'll find locals relaxing and enjoying themselves underneath one of Doha's most famous pieces of constructed art.

Sunset
Since Qatar doesn't change much throughout the seasons, you can visit the Al Dallah teapot sculpture during any month of the year.
I prefer visiting during sunset when the light will be coming from behind the skyscrapers, softly illuminating the scene. When the sun is behind the skyscrapers, there will also be even lighting across the whole frame.
Field tips
I shot with a wide-angle lens (17mm) and got close to the sculpture to make the scale of the teapot more dramatic compared to the skyscrapers. For reference, my focal length was 17mm.
I composed the teapot so that it was in the middle of two skyscrapers, resulting in a silhouette that was more defined and didn't obstruct the cityscape.
To evoke a sense of scale, you could incorporate a model into your shot. Having a human subject will emphasize the structure and help to show off its size.

Do nearby
There are many photogenic skyscrapers in the West Bay that I highly recommend capturing if you're looking to get some shots of innovative architecture.
South of Al Dallah is the Museum of Islamic Art. Whether you're an avid art fanatic or not, this museum houses works of art that span over 1,400 years.
