Al Dafna Park view of West Bay Skyline

This image of the West Bay skyline was taken from Al Dafna Park in Doha. This park is accessible by car or public transportation. If you're taking public transportation, ride the Red Line until you get to the DECC stop. Head to the south end of Al Dafna and then reference the GPS coordinates to find the exact spot where I stood to get this northwest-facing perspective of the West Bay skyline.

The palm trees and West Bay skyline view from Al Dafna Park won't change throughout the seasons.

Sunset will produce the perfect lighting conditions to capture the darkening glow of the night sky.

A wide-angle lens (24mm) will allow you to tightly compose the palm trees and the skyscrapers.

I recommend using the palm trees as a tool for framing, especially the in the top half of the photo.

Since you'll be shooting in low-light conditions, a tripod is preferable. It will also help yo bring out the magical light of the skyscrapers.

Grab a cup of coffee or tea at Costa Coffee and take in the waterfront sights from the park.
