Although it's not the biggest waterfall, it's still one of the more unique rapids in the area. This side perspective is my personal favorite because you can see the water emerging from above the cliff or you can walk behind the falls and see the water cascade down into the creek.

This image was taken on the trail on Upper Horsetail Falls (Ponytail Falls), just before you reach the main falls.
To get to Ponytail Falls, head to Horsetail Falls Trailhead off Historic Columbia River Highway. The trailhead and parking lot (45.590371, -122.068588) are just west of Ainsworth State Park. From the parking lot you will see Horsetail Falls. The trail up to Ponytail Falls is on the left side of Horsetail Falls. Follow that trail #438, which will take you right up to Ponytail Falls. It is a 0.8 mile roundtrip hike with about 300 feet of elevation gain, so be prepared!
Reference the GPS and you'll be able to get this exact side perspective.
