An abstract cathedral of stone, the texture of these rock formations is mind boggling! The slot canyons paint an awe-inspiring portrait of the magic of chemistry and physics and it's one of the most incredible sights to experience up close.

This image of the Moon Caves (Slot Canyons) was taken inside Cathedral Gorge State Park, which is about 268 miles north of Las Vegas off the US-93 N/Great Basin Hwy. It's a fairly small park, with one main road (Cathedral Gorge State Park Road) that's easy to navigate. Within the park, there are several Moon Caves (Slot Canyons) that are close to one another along the main park road. Reference the GPS coordinates and it'll lead you to this exact rock formation. Look up once you're inside the caves to achieve a similar photo of the natural skylight. For more information on this location, check out their website: parks.nv.gov/parks/cathedral-gorge
