Fun fact: Faro de Mahahual is the southernmost lighthouse on the Caribbean coast of Mexico. It's located right next to the sea where you will have the chance to spot loads of seagulls and ships. In 2007 the area around the lighthouse was destroyed by a hurricane.

This photo was taken north of Faro de Mahahual from the coastline.
To get here, right before the lighthouse is a road to the left. Take this road and follow it for around 210m. You can see a narrow entrance between bushes to the sea. Take this path and follow it until you are at the sea. From there you can see the lighthouse in the distance, similar to my photo.
I don't recommend going here before sunrise or after sunset, as it is next to a road, which leads to a private property.
