This image of Hōkan-ji Temple, also known as Yasaka Pagoda, was taken from Uedacho street. The easiest way to get to this location is by taking public transportation.
To get there, take the Hankyu-Kyoto Line and stop at the Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station. Head south and turn left to cross the bridge on the Kamo-gawa River. Turn right on Yamatooji Dori and then continue south toward Hōkan-ji Temple. When you get to Yasaka-dori Road, it means that you are very close to Uedacho where this photo was taken. Continue all the way straight, cross the road, and you will see Hōkan-ji Temple in front of you. Look east on Uedacho.
