The image of the red lantern and the model was taken in front of Gion Tsubaki Restaurant (椿), which is located in Kyoto. You can reach this location by car, but the best way to access this photo spot is by taking public transportation.
The restaurant is about a 6-minute walk on foot from Gion-Shijo Station or an 8-minute walk on foot from Kawaramachi Station. Either will grant you easy access to the location.
Once you're there, you will immediately spot the red lantern. In fact, most establishments on the road have lanterns, so find your favorite to snap a pic.
