Interrupting the calm tranquility of the sea is the unique pier of Emissaire de La Salie. It juts out of the shore of Plage de la Salie Sud and creates a forceful line that's perched on top of the rippling water. It's truly a sight to see — especially at sunset!

This drone image of Emissaire de La Salie was taken on the shore of Plage de la Salie Sud, which is located near Arachon. I stood on the shore and then launched my drone up and south to get this perspective.
To get to Arcachon from Paris, I suggest taking the express train on TGV at Gare Montparnasse. You can rent a car once you've arrived in Arcachonor or you can take the bus to the "Plage de la Salie" (Salie Beach). On the beach you have two choices: north or south — make sure to go to the south beach.
Follow directions to Restaurant La Salie Sud (44.519767, -1.248017) and then continue west toward Emissaire de La Salie.
