The view of the hotel stairs will be as equally good during the day as it is at night. In this particular shot I photographed at night to capture the dark sky coming through the windows. During sunset, the light will come through and create interesting shadow patterns.

Look at the designs on the carpet and use them as guidance to symmetrically align yourself in the center of the room.

Walk to the middle section of the stairs and look up. You'll get an amazing view of the ornate ceiling from this perspective.

You can also go all the way up to the top of the stairs and look down for a view of the entire staircase as it elegantly descends onto the first floor.

Visit Kings Cross Station. This giant transportation hub also features the famous Platform 9 and 3/4 from Harry Potter.
