Sunset
Mount Tamalpais is open year around, but each season has it's own charm. I like the dry seasons when the grass get's a golden look, but it's beautiful in the green spring as well!
The sun sets over the water and you'll get a beautiful view over the last light looking out over Stinson Beach, or if you're lucky you'll see the sun tuck itself into the cloud layers below you.
Field tips
Remember that they close the park shortly after sunset, so don't hike too far from your car if you're going to be photographing up until blue hour.
Think about how to compose your model in a way that shows the grand beauty of the golden hills. In the featured image you see how I framed my model inside the cloud blanket.
I like to use zoom lenses up here to get closer to the cloud textures; I used a 70-200mm.
