Snowshoeing in the mountains of Washington is such an amazing experience! As you make your way up the trail, take a moment to look around you, in awe of the vast expanse of snow and mountains that surrounds. And while you'll certainly feel small in the face of such grandiose mountains, you'll also feel at peace as you're captivated by the calming beauty of the winter-white landscape.

This photo was taken along the snowshoe trail of Artist Point, with a view of Mt Shuksan in the distance.
To get to this location, start by driving up Mount Baker HWY (hwy 542). Continue driving until you reach the Artist Point trailhead (48.846629, -121.692685) and then park your car in the public lot.
Follow the path west of the parking lot and then reference the GPS coordinates to see where I stood for this photo. Just before you begin the final steeper section to Artist Point, you'll notice a big open space out to your left and these mountains in the distance. That's where I took this photo from, with my model and Mt Shuksan west of where I stood.
