This image of the lake and Arts Knoll peak was taken at an alpine tarn known as Kool-Aid Lake along the Ptarmigan Traverse in Glacier Peak Wilderness. First, you'll need to drive to Marblemount, Washington and then drive about 23 miles east along Cascade River Road until you reach the end, which is the Cascade Pass Trailhead. Make sure to check in advance to ensure it's open and accessible.
From the trailhead, hike to Cascade Pass and then start your cross-country route toward Cache Col. En route to Cache Col, you'll be required to cross an active glacier, which will require requisite experience and gear.
Once you reach Cache Col, travel south along the traditional Ptarmigan Traverse route until you reach Kool-Aid Lake — a common day-1 camp for this mountaineering trip.
For this exact perspective, stand facing south at Kool-Aid Lake and reference the GPS coordinates. Also, I recommend having your models stand on the opposite side of the lake.
