December to April is ideal for capturing the Ammatara Pura Pool steps at their finest. The dry season provides bright, natural light that highlights the pool’s sparkling blues and lush green surroundings. Early mornings or after a brief rain shower are particularly magical, as the tropical foliage looks its freshest. The monsoon season (October to November), when I visited, offered a more dramatic feel to my photos.
