This photo of Lisbon Falls was taken at the pool at the base of the waterfall. To get here, navigate to the main Lisbon Falls gate. When you arrive at the gate, you'll need to pay your entrance fee and then make your way to the designated parking area to park your car.
From here, you’re given two options – you can either look at the waterfall from a viewpoint above (the easy option that most people take), or you can hike down the rather steep decline to get this particular vantage point of the waterfall.
If you choose to hike down (around 30-45 minutes), start at the end of the car park and follow the dirt path (quite slippery as you get closer to the bottom, so requires hiking boots) and when you reach the bottom, the path continues along the river to the right. After a few minutes, you’ll reach the falls.
Bring a bathing suit to have a swim, but just be careful when climbing over the big boulders to get into the water. This shot was taken from one of the boulders directly in front of the falls (as per GPS coordinates). When hiking back, don’t forget where to turn up the mountain, as it can be easily missed!
