Its rectilinear roof with layers of ceiling panels has made this spot ideal for those seeking peculiar architectural intricacy. The structure cost SGD$1.75 billion and took about 7 years to construct. Its underlying complexity is derived from the layering of ceiling panels, baffles, 919 skylights and 'butterflies' meant to emulate a rainforest canopy.

The featured image was taken at Changi Airport Terminal 3 Departure Hall in front of the departures immigration checkpoint.
For travelers whose flight had just arrived at Singapore Changi Airport, take the free SkyTrain which connects all terminals (departs every 5 minutes). There is also a free shuttle bus service connecting Terminal 2 and 3.
Upon arrival at Terminal 3, take any one of the 4 glass lifts near the entrance to Level 2 - Departure Hall. Then, walk towards Row 5 and 6 and make your way towards a duty free shop called 'The Shilla'. Continue towards the departure immigration checkpoint; I was standing right in front of UOB ATM and the money changer.
