Neon Cubes at Galeries Lafayette Basement Parking

This image of the neon installation was taken at the basement parking of the Galeries Lafayette in Katara. The easiest way to get there is by car or taxi. If you choose to drive, make your way to Katara Cultural Village, and set your coordinates to his parking area (25.3608742, 51.5229365). Look for basement parking Number 3. Once there, drive towards the Exit in the parking lot. Just before exiting, you can see the neon cube installation on the right side of you. If you go by taxi and get dropped off, set your destinationto Galeries Lafayette, High Street entrance/Entrance 1. Make Your way towards the mall. As this is an underground location, you can visit the neon cubes at the Galeries Lafayette's basement parking all months of the year.

No sunlight is required, so you can photograph here at all times—day or night. However, a tripod is recommended to capture your images as the place is quite dark. Try getting arriving before or after peak shopping mall hours, as people use this popular entrance.

By using a wide-angle lens (24mm), you'll more easily be able to capture the entire scene: the foreground, the neon cubes, and the ceiling. These three components are evenly balanced in my photo, following the rule of thirds.

By having your model face the neon cubes, their face will be evenly illuminated.

Pay attention to how the light from the neon cubes is hitting the ground and orient your composition so they cross your frame in a pleasant way. Try to be intentional with all aspects of the photograph.
