By far, the Katara Mosque is the most beautiful in Qatar. Visitors are attracted to its outer surface garnished with turquoise and purple mosaics. It's definitely worth a visit!

This image was taken in front of Katara Mosque in Katara Cultural Village in Doha. There are many ways to get here, but I recommend taking a car.
Park in the main area at the Galeries Lafayette (25.360918, 51.522971) and then walk all the way through the center until you reach the Katara Opera House (25.359875, 51.524517).
Continue right through the streets toward the mosque. Reference the GPS coordinates if you need any help locating the location.

The Katara Mosque in Katara Cultural VIllage can be photographed during any month of the year.
If you don't want to deal with hot temperatures, then avoid the summer months (June-September).
For similar lighting conditions to my image, you'll want to visit in the when there's daylight.
When the mosque is open, prayer times are at 11:49 and 15:04—it's a great time to experience and capture moments.
Field tips
Capturing a local while praying can be a powerful image, but don't overstep any boundary. Be respectful.
By using a wide-angle lens (24mm), you'll be able to incorporate a majority of the mosque.
There are so many ways to frame the mosque. I framed it straight on and was lucky enough to capture a passerby. Be patient and wait for that perfect moment.

Do nearby
If you want to take more photos, you can climb the stairs and take a shot overlooking the mosque to get a different angle of the village.
Galeries Lafayette is a department store that is filled with retail shops. Spend the day window shopping or head inside the stores to treat yourself to some new clothes.
Walk over to one of the many cafes to grab a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. Some of the closest restaurants are Khan Farouk Tarab Cafe, Ard Canaan Restaurant and Chac'Late.
