This building is one of the most unique pieces of modern architecture in Qatar. The exterior is covered in Islamic design and calligraphy, with the ability to hold up to 1,000 people in the outdoor community center. The Education City Mosque strives to be more than just a place of worship and it offers countless resources to those in the surrounding Al Rayyan area.
The shape and curvature of the building grants the photographer the
ability to capture the mosque in a variety of creative ways, too—visit and see which perspective suits you best!

This image was taken in the outdoor section of Education City Mosque.
The building is about a 10-minute walk from the nearest subway station, National Library Station (via Green Line). If you prefer not to walk, I'd recommend taking a taxi there. You can also drive and park in the Education City Mosque Parking (25.315976, 51.447487).
Once you've arrived at the mosque, go up the main curved exterior stairs and walk toward the back of the building. Eventually, you'll see the two vertical wings of the building as they're framed by the curved exterior ceiling. Reference the GPS coordinates to stand in the exact spot I stood for this view.

When to go
Best season

Best time
Mid-day
Education City Mosque is great to visit year round because this view doesn't change seasonally.
Capturing this location in the middle of the day will create a dramatic shadow on the floor that mirrors the unique circular roof.
Visting at sunset is also great—if you're lucky, you might be able to time it perfectly and capture sun rays as the sun dips behind the circular roof.
Field tips
Since it's a place of worship, make sure to be respectful when photographing in the area.
The security will be strict with large cameras, so it helps to be discrete and not draw attention to yourself.
I think it looks best to shoot with a wide-angle lens (16mm) at this location. Having a lens that offers a wider perspective will be critical if you want to capture the entire curved ceiling.
Incorporate a model into your shot to bring a sense of scale to the image. With a person in the frame, the impact of the architecture will be that much more impressive.
