This photo of the Imnaha River was taken along the Cow Creek Trail. There is more than one trailhead called Cow Creek, so make sure that you are searching for the one in Imnaha, Oregon when searching on Google Maps. To get to the beginning of the trailhead by car, take NF-4260.
The trailhead is more than 15 miles down a gravel road and it gets very rough at times—I highly recommend only all-wheel drive vehicles attempt this. You're in a very isolated part of Oregon with little to no cell coverage so keep that in mind when you're making preparations. I recommend downloading the map area on Google Maps in advance.
Follow the trail norward along the west side of the river for around 2.5-3 miles until you notice that the landscape on that side opens up a little bit. You will see the spot indicated at the GPS coordinates. From there, you can climb the hill to look for a good perch for your composition.
