Sunset Beach view of Sunset Bay

This photo of Sunset Bay was taken from Sunset Beach in Sunset Bay State Park. To get here, park in the Sunset Beach parking lot off Cape Arago Rd (43.333372, -124.372083) and then walk along the beach northeast for about 5-7 minutes. Alternatively, there is small road off the parking lot that extends northeast along the beach. If the road is open, park directly past the public restrooms and you'll be significantly closer to the correct spot. Reference the GPS coordinates to see exactly where I stood, facing west towards the the ocean and the cape. This location is easily accessible by car from nearby town Charleston. Directions: - Head west on Cape Arago Hwy toward Walker Ln - Turn right into the Sunset Beach parking lot
