The soft and powdery dunes in White Sands National Park form an endless expanse, shimmering brightly in the sunlight. Casting a warm glow over the white dunes, the last colors of the sun will form lively shades of orange, yellow, and pink.

This photo was taken in White Sands National Park. You can get there by car.
The park is located right off US-70. Once you've entered, continue driving on Dune Dr and Lupe Dr almost to the end of the road. This will take you through the dunes and you can find many parking spaces when you get to the loop on Loop Drive.
The GPS coordinates are around 10-15 minutes west into the dunes after you've parked. The hike is totally worth it as you'll find endless opportunities to capture the layers of dunes.
