This bonsai tree is located on the east side of Lake Tahoe on the Nevada side of the lake, just south of Sand Harbor. Park on the road close to the GPS coordinates at any of the various pull-outs. Make sure to read all the parking signs before parking.
You should be able to see Bonsai Rock from the road. There are a couple of different options for paths to get down, but the best one is a sandy trail that leads you to a steep, but short hike down. It takes about 5 minutes to get down to the beach and you should wear shoes with good traction, preferably not sandals.
