For those in need of good fortune (especially longevity), a visit to the famous Shirahige Shrine Torii is a must. The shrine that sits atop Lake Biwa can be photographed from the ground-level lookout spot, but with a drone, you can capture the expansive landscape of the blue rippling water.

How to get there

This drone image was taken above Shirahige Shrine Torii, which is on Lake Biwa in Takashima. You'll need a car to access this location, so if you don't have one, I recommend renting a car.
To get there, take National Route 161 from Takashima City and follow the GPS coordinates, located right off the road. This will take you to the GPS coordinates where I stood to launch my drone.
