The ground in the precincts of the shrine in the city of Kyoto is like a yellow carpet with no fallen leaves to trample over. I was overwhelmed by the contrast between the red torii gate and the splendid, yellow-tinted ginkgo trees.

I took this photo from the bridge right in front of the Iwato Ochiba Shrine.
To get to the shrine, take a one-hour bus of Takao/Keihoku Line from Kyoto Station to Shuzan, and get off at Onogo. From Onogo bus stop, it is about a 5-minute walk to Iwato Ochiba Shrine.
Walking west on Shuzan Kaido/National Route 162 will take you to the bridge where I took this photo. You will see Iwato Ochiba Shrine ahead of you.
