The best way to get to this location is to drive. Once you've arrived, park in the public parking lot (35.203560, 139.024995), located right off Shrine Street. Then head through Hakone Shrine toward the water, which will be directly south of the parking lot. Take the stairs down and then you'll see the red awning of Heiwa no Tori.
