There is no wrong way to view Japan's cherry blossoms, but perhaps one of the best spots in the country to see them is in Ashinokoen.
Home to 1,500 cherry trees along the lakeside, Ashino Park practically explodes every spring with these fluffy pink blossoms. The Tsugaru Railway runs through the park, which creates a spectacular, seemingly timeless aesthetic of a historic rail line gracefully gliding under a canopy of color.

This photo is taken in the cherry blossom tunnel at the Ashinokoen Station, located in Ashino Park.
The station is 30 minutes from Goshugawara Station on Tsugaru Railway. If you take the train and get off at Ashino-Koen Station, you will see the spot right away.
If arriving by bus, take the Konan Bus from Goshogawara Station and get off at Ashino Koen on Route 339. Walk to the platform.
You can place your model on the platform and stand at the edge, on the other side of the platform to capture a similar photo.
Note: There are a total of four return trains per hour. It's a good idea to check the times beforehand.
