Glistening against the River Tiber is the holy Vatican City, which serves as the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church. Visit this bridge viewpoint and at sunset, you'll be able to capture a mesmerizing photo of one of the world's most well-known cities as it's illuminated against a pastel-colored sky.

I took this photo from Ponte Umberto I bridge, looking west toward Vatican City and the River Tiber.
This bridge is within walking distance to Vatican City (about 25 minutes), so I recommend following directions to the city center and then working your way backwards. Getting to the Vatican by Metro is pretty easy. Take the Metro Line A, which you can catch from some of the most popular parts of town, and then get off at either the Lepanto stop or the Ottaviano stop.
From Vatican City, head East past Castel Sant'Angelo (which is another great bridge to shoot blue hour shots) and on to Ponte Umberto I bridge. For reference, the bridge will be across from the Quadriga della Giustizia (Palace of Justice). Follow the GPS coordinates to get to the exact spot where I shot this west-facing view of the river and city.
