Sekumpul Waterfall

@eyeofshe
Sekumpul Waterfall has earned a reputation for being the best waterfall in Bali—and rightfully so! The roarings falls cascade onto the lush greenery and rocks in the alluring, jungle-like climate. At the base of the waterfall, you'll look up in awe as the strong force of the water simultaneously evokes power and peace.

This image was taken at the base of Sekumpul Waterfall in Bali, Indonesia. The best, and safest, way to get to this location is by having a tour guide lead you there, but you can also hike there by yourself. The waterfall is in the village of Sekumpul, which has a dirt road and can be difficult to navigate. If you're not going through a tour company, I recommend parking in the public lot that's close to the waterfall (-8.171833, 115.186265). For a tour, call one of the local companies and book your guide. They'll be able to show you the way to this particular vantage point or you can use the GPS coordinates to help you find the place where I stood for this shot. Note: please proceed with caution. The waterfall is very slippery and the trek can be challenging.
