Field tips
Explore up and down the pathway to find your preferred spot.
I used a portrait lens (50mm) which allowed me to focus on my model and the immediate surrounding lanterns.
Try using a prism or something else (even your phone!) to reflect the light from the lanterns. That's how I created the reflecting light across the bottom of my image.
There could be a lot of foot traffic at night so be patient to capture your perfect moment!
