Choi Hung Estate Basketball Courts Look Down

These basketball courts are on top of a car park within the Choi Hung Estate. Take the MTR to Choi Hung, Exit C3, and when at the top of the stairs and outside make a right and quick left to follow the walkway between the building and wall. At the end of the building turn right and cross the street where you will find parking garage Staircase #2. The basketball courts and playground are on the top floor. This park is open all year round. Whenever it isn't raining and the sun is out would be the best time to visit!

Definitely make a point to go early in the morning if you want to avoid the crush of people, tourists, photographers, and kids playing basketball. The featured image was taken early in the morning before the courts were used.

This is a public park used mainly by the residents of the nearby estates, so be mindful before taking off with your drone, especially when there are children running around.

On sunny days, it helps to have a Neutral Density filter to bring out some of the colors and lessen the harsh light — there is no shade.

There are lot of lines and symmetries to worth with. Get creative with your composition!

This area is extremely photogenic so experiment with some handheld shots, too!

There are the classic square Ping Shek estates located nearby which make for great photos as well.
