This pastel pink building is nestled in a tranquil residential area that has been popular among the upper middle-class locals. Unlike the chaos and crowdedness usually associated with Hong Kong, this neighbourhood presents itself with elegance and serenity.

When to go
Best season
All months
Best time
Morning, Mid-day, Late afternoon
I'd say as long as it's a good weathered day, it's all good to go.
If you would like the pastel pink to really pop, visiting when the sun is out would be best.
Field tips
By using a wide-angle lens (28mm) I was able to frame more of the pink building’s façade.
The shot was taken directly on the other side of the road by my partner, but you can also set up a tripod if you’re by yourself.
The building, which only has 4 floors, stands by itself. Try exploring the other sides to try out new angles and compositions.

Do nearby
It's in a quieter suburban neighbourhood, so I definitely recommend exploring the area — it has a lot to offer.
You’re right next to massive Kowloon Walled City Park. This was the original site where the famous Kowloon Walled City lawless slum was, which was eventually demolished in the 90s. It has now become a beautiful park with lovely landscape and pavilions, but you can also still see renamants of the wall.
A short walk further into Kowloon City, you'll experience the small grid streets full of local shops and restaurants well-known for for authentic Thai food. You'll definitely discover the rich history and culture in this area.
